The marriage of Simon and Agnes took place abt 1058. Two children by this marriage were Amaury, eventually count of Evreux, b.c. 1065, as Amaury led the forces of William Rufus against Montfort and Espernon in 1109, was fighting before Gisors in 1123 and died in 1137; and Bertrade, the sister of Amaury, was b. c. 1068/70, since she m. Fulk le Rechine, count of Anjou, in 1089. At the time of Simon's marriage his wife Agnes was quite young, for her parents were not married before 1038. He must have been approaching 60 years of age then for his dau. Eve by his first marriage, wife of William Crispin I, was married not later than 1045, her younger son Gilbert, abbot of Westminster, having been born bef 1050. Simon d. 1087. [Falaise Roll, p. 130]
