John Cole of the counties of Devon and Cornwall, who in 1324 wasdescribed as "John Cole de Tamer, Man at Arms." He was summoned to attendthe Great Council at Westminster 30th May, 17th year of Edward II. In the9th year of Edward III he had free warren in Tamer, Lydeston, Hokesbereand Hutenesleigh. (* I don't know what that means, so don't ask me.Doneva) in co. Devon, and in Rispernatt; and in 1341 was posessed of themanors of Respnel, in co. Cornwall, Launceston and Stokley, and of themanor of Winston and divers other lands in Devon.
