Sir John Cole, Knight, of Nythway, in the Parish of Brixham, who in the4th year of Richard II (1380) was knighted before the Castle of Ardes inFrance, by Thomas of Woodstock, Earl of Buckingham, Lord Deputy there forthe King.
This John Cole married Anne, daughter and heiress of Sir NicholasBodrigan, knt., of Gorrans in Cornwall.
