Thomas Bard Bransford 
Thomas Bard was born on April 5th, 1767 in Powhatan County, Virginia. Thomas Bard's father was John II Bransford and his mother is Judith Amonett. His paternal grandfather was John Bransford and his paternal grandmother is Mary Kingsford. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Frank, Benjamin, Stephen, Jacob, Samual, Abram, Robert, Elizabeth and Patsy. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named James, John III, William, Molly Mosely and Sally Agee. He died at the age of 85 on January 24th, 1853 in Glasgow, Barron County, Kentucky.General Notes
Moved to Barren County, Kentucky in 1817. Lived near Glasgow until hecould no longer take care of himself. He then moved to Glasgow and livedthe remainder of his life with his daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane andJames Eubank.
He and Ann Lee were buried side by side under two walnut trees (accordingto record books).
Thomas had a relationship with one of his slaves and together they had ason, Matt.
Quote from old record book: "He was of fiery temper, devoted inreligion, temporate in politics, but a lover of his rights and hiscountry. He was not opposed to Henry Clay's plan for a gradualemancipation of slavery, he was a whip. He paid $20.00 to become a lifemember of the colonization society."
