Michael (Michiel) Bergen 
Michael (Michiel) was born in November 1645 in New Amsterdam and his baptism took place there on November 4th, 1646. Michael (Michiel)'s father was Hans Hansen Bergen and his mother was Sarah Rapalje. His paternal grandfather was Hans "The Boar" Bergen and his paternal grandmother is Marta Jonasdotter; his maternal grandparents were Joris Janse Rapelje and Catalyntje Jerononius Trico. He was an only child. He died at the age of 87 in 1732.General Notes
