William Elijah Underwood 
William Elijah was born in 1857.1 William Elijah's father was John Newton Underwood and his mother was Zeleta Ann Celethia Huckaby. His paternal grandparents were Aaron Underwood and Sarah Iona Williams. He had five brothers, and also three siblings of unknown gender named John Newton,Jr., George A., James Beauford, Thomas Anderson, Tolbert Monroe, Prestley M., Wilmuth C. and Augusta A. S.. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 76 in 1933.1 General Notes
