Joseph D. Underwood 
Joseph D. was born in 1744 in Madison Co., Virginia.1 Joseph D.'s father was Nathan,Jr. Underwood and his mother was Elizabeth Anderson. His paternal grandfather was Nathan Underwood and his paternal grandmother is Diana Unknown; his maternal grandfather was George Anderson and his maternal grandmother is UNKNOWN Unknown. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Jonathan, George, Reuben, Joshua, Joel, Elijah, Gideon, Sarah and Ann Nancy. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 78 in December 1822 in Georgia.1 General Notes

Appears in the Culpeper tax lists from 1782 through 1788. Around 17
89 he m oved to Elbert County, Georgia. In 1807 they sold 138 acres on Van
ns Cre ek in Elbert County to Joseph Henderson, probably her brother. '

Joseph D., Jr. was born on July 20th, 1799 in Elbert Co., Georgia.1 He died at the age of 76 in 1875.1
Reuben Isam Underwood
Reuben Isam was born in 1807 in Wilkes Co., Georgia.1 He died at the age of 81 in 1888.1
They had a son named William Henderson.
