Mary Jane Underwood 
Mary Jane was born on September 14th, 1836 in Green Co., Kentucky.1 Mary Jane's father was Hiram Underwood and her mother was Celia Buley. Her paternal grandfather was James Underwood and her paternal grandmother is Keziah Unknown. She had nine brothers and three sisters, named William C., William A., Thomas E., Calloway, Anderson, Mason, Lafayette, Green Berry, Hiram,Jr., Nancy Jennie, Virginia Jane and Celia. She was the youngest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 79 on January 18th, 1916 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was buried in Tecumseh, Mission Hill Cemetery Plot 35 row 2, Pottatomie Co. ‌Mary Jane and John Tyler were married in a religious ceremony on September 28th, 1853 in Taylor Co., Kentucky.1 They had three sons and four daughters, named Charles A., Lewis Byron, John Hamilton, Celia, Nancy Jane, Susan Elizabeth and Mary.
