Lafayette Underwood 
Lafayette was born in 1824 in Green Co., Kentucky.1 Lafayette's father was Hiram Underwood and his mother was Celia Buley. His paternal grandfather was James Underwood and his paternal grandmother is Keziah Unknown. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named William C., William A., Thomas E., Calloway, Anderson, Mason, Green Berry, Hiram,Jr., Nancy Jennie, Virginia Jane, Celia and Mary Jane. He was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 74 on November 24th, 1898 in LaRue Co., Kentucky. He was buried in Mt. Tabor Church Cemetery, LaRue Co., Kentucky.1 1 General Notes
