George Underwood 
George was born in 1740 in Madison Co., Virginia.1 George's father was Nathan,Jr. Underwood and his mother was Elizabeth Anderson. His paternal grandfather was Nathan Underwood and his paternal grandmother is Diana Unknown; his maternal grandfather was George Anderson and his maternal grandmother is UNKNOWN Unknown. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Jonathan, Reuben, Joseph D., Joshua, Joel, Elijah, Gideon, Sarah and Ann Nancy. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 54 in 1794.1 General Notes
