George Washington was born on June 1st, 1872 in Harnett Co., North Carolina.1 George Washington's father was Marshall Andrew Tutor and his mother was Laura Jane Cotton. His paternal grandfather was Owen Young Tutor and his paternal grandmother is Lucinda Dennis. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Andrew Jackson, Lester, John W., Raymond, Lucy Jane, Mollie F., Sara Dora, Sindy Hazeline, Callie F. and Ira P.. He was the oldest of the eleven children.
