Francis Jr. Smalley

Francis Jr. was born in 1656 in Falmouth , Cumberland,  Maine.¹   Francis Jr.'s father was Francis Smalley and his mother was Elizabeth Leighton.  His paternal grandfather was Edward Smalley and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Shurt\Shirt; his maternal grandfather was Thomas Leighton and his maternal grandmother is Joanna Unknown. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Edward, Samuel, Benjamin, Daniel, Mary, Alice and Elizabeth.  He was the third oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 54 in 1710 in Truro, Massachusetts.¹ 

‌Francis Jr. and Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony in 1679 in Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island.¹   They had four sons named Samuel, Daniel, Joseph and Francis.
