Daniel Smalley

Daniel was born in 1670 in Falmouth , Cumberland,  Maine.¹   Daniel's father was Francis Smalley and his mother was Elizabeth Leighton.  His paternal grandfather was Edward Smalley and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Shurt\Shirt; his maternal grandfather was Thomas Leighton and his maternal grandmother is Joanna Unknown. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Edward, Francis Jr., Samuel, Benjamin, Mary, Alice and Elizabeth.  He was the third youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 59 in 1729 in Truro, Massachusetts.¹ 

‌Daniel and Abigail were married in a religious ceremony in 1694 in Kittery, York, Maine.¹   They had six sons and two daughters, named Isaac, Daniel, John, Edward, Benajmin, Elisha, Anna and Abigail.
