Her paternal grandfather is Warner Shannon and her paternal grandmother was Nancy Ellen Endicott. She had a brother and six sisters, named Bradford Warner, Helena Ellen, Dorothy Mae, Nancy Ellene, Dolly Evelyn Caroline, Charlotte Minta and Agnes Eva.
