Sarah Jane DeSpain 
Sarah Jane was born on June 10th, 1829 in Kentucky.1 Sarah Jane's father was James Simpson DeSpain and her mother is Mary A. Roark. Her paternal grandparents were Peter DeSpain and Nancy Skaggs. She had two brothers and five sisters, named John M., James Henry, Nancy, Elizabeth C., Mary Ann, Julia A. and Eliza J.. She was the second oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 79 on September 13th, 1908 in Richard Co., Wisconsin. She was buried in Basswood Cemetery, Richard Co., Wisconsin.1 1 General Notes
