Carl Conway was born on January 4th, 1892.1 Carl Conway's father was Thomas Jefferson Senter and his mother was Annie Elizabeth Martin. His paternal grandparents were Patrick Henry Senter and Martha Elam. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Martin Hale, Thomas Hendrick, James Macom, Malvin Clayton, Ben Rowland, Albert Melvin, Park Vancleve and Bessie Sellers.
