James Ritchie

James was born in 1861.¹ James' father is Hiram Ritchie and his mother was Euphemy Pharbia Patrick. His paternal grandparents were Alexander Crockett Ritchie and Elizabeth Susan Grigsby. He had five brothers and eight sisters, named Alexander, Marcum, Christopher Columbus, Elias, John C., Elizabeth, Lucinda, Yanta, Letty, Mary, Catherine, Clarissa and Martha. He is the second youngest of the fourteen children.
