John Allen was born in 1869 in Mississippi.1 John Allen's father was Beckman Samuel Ramey and his mother was Cathron Catherine Keahey. His maternal grandparents were William,General Keahey and Jane Clark. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Charles William, Lucius Jordan, Ella Jane, Kate Emma and Mary L..
