Joseph Pendley 
Joseph was born in 1798 in NORTH CAROLINA.1 Joseph's father was James Pendley and his mother was Amelia Moness Smith. His maternal grandparents are Solomon Smith and Nancy UNKNOWN. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Larkin, Austin, Solomon, Smith, James, John Levi, William, Alfred, Lydia Elena and Amelia Matilda. He died at the age of 76 on June 19th, 1874 in HOPKINS COUNTY, KY.1 
‌Joseph and Nancy M were married in a religious ceremony on December 17th, 1819 in BUTLER COUNTY, KY.1 They had five sons and three daughters, named Benjamin A, Meredith, Isaac E, William Harrison, James, Louvina H, Mahala and Sarah A.
