Martha Payne 
Martha was born on April 15th, 1831.1 Martha's father was Jubal Payne and her mother was Rhoady Basham. Her maternal grandparents were William Basham and Sarah Sally Shrewsbury. She had eight brothers and six sisters, named Dudley H., Richard H., William B., James, Simeon, Jubal, Jr., Joel, John W., Nancy, Margaret, Agnes, Eliza Jane, Mary D. and Sely. She was the second youngest of the fifteen children. She died at the age of 61 on October 13th, 1892 in Bonham, Texas.1 -
