William Earl Muphy 
William Earl was born on March 9th, 1918 in Stearns, Kentucky.1 William Earl's father was James Frank Muphy and his mother was Elizabeth Emily Foster. He has two brothers and a sister, named Kenneth, Glen C. and Ethel Mae. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Julian, Living, Randy Lee, Charles Jack, Living and Living.General Notes

William Earl Murphy was born in Stearns, Ky, he left there shortly a
ft er his second birthday. His father had died and his mother was alo
ne wi th four small children and little education. She took the childr
en to t he Louisville Children's home and left them. They were never offic
ially ad opted but instead lived in Foster homes until grown.
Earl lived with Charles and Susie Walker in Louisville, Ky. He on
ly we nt to the 10th grade, but did learn the trade of electrician whi
ch he work ed at for a number of years.
He worked at R.C. Wagner during the 1940's and went to work for E.
I. du P ont in 1950 where he remained until his retirement.

‌William Earl and Mary Susan were married in a religious ceremony on May 1st, 1937 in Green Co., Kentucky.1 They had a son and two daughters, named Living, Living and Living.
