William Stith Moseley 
William Stith was born in 1837 in Red Oak, Charlotte Co., Virginia.1 William Stith's father was Hillery, Jr. Moseley and his mother was Margaret Bouldin. His maternal grandparents were Ephraim Bouldin and Jane Flippen Bedford. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Robert Everett, James E., Charles Hillery, Whitfield, Jane Ann, Margaret B. and Martha Ann. He was the second youngest of the eight children.
