William Hoyt Means 
William Hoyt was born in 1901 in Franklin Co., Georgia.1 William Hoyt's father was Hugh Means and his mother was Tallulah Belle Gillespie. His paternal grandparents are John Stewart Means and Mary Elizabeth Langston. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Hubert Lowery, Fredrick Stuart, Dwight M., Joe, John Henry, Robert Milton, Nellie Elizabeth, Janie Ruth, Ethel Belle and Annie Lois. He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 71 in 1972.1 General Notes
