J. William LeGrand

J. William was born on May 1st, 1862.¹   J. William's father was John B. LeGrand and his mother was Elizabeth Baskett-Baskin.  His paternal grandparents are John Harris LeGrand and Nancy Cox; his maternal grandparents are John Baskin and Beth McNalih. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Sylvester, Franklin P., Richard Bassett, Sanford, David V., Lucyan, Missouri Ellen, Mary Alice and Lucy Alice.  He was the third youngest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 51 in 1913.¹ 

‌J. William and Maggie were married in a religious ceremony on November 20th, 1884 in Meade Co., Kentucky.¹   They had a son and a daughter, named Jim and Nellie.
