Mary Elizabeth was born on September 4th, 1865 in Rusk, Co., Texas.1 Mary Elizabeth's father was Daniel Bethune,Rev. Keahey and her mother was Sarah Eilzabeth Bishop. Her paternal grandfather was Elijah John Keahey and her paternal grandmother is Catherine Bethune. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Jonathan, Daniel Perry, George Bishop, John, Elijah J., Myra and Annie Elizabeth. She died at the age of 88 on November 29th, 1953 in Snyder, Texas.1 General Notes
