Francis Newton was born on May 10th, 1910 in Canadian, Texas.1 Francis Newton's father was George Reed Keahey and his mother was Eva Mae Choate. His paternal grandparents were Archibald Smith Keahey and Martha Elizabeth Robertson. He had five brothers and four sisters, named George Boyd, John Archie, Elmer Lee, Haskell Reed, Jesse Lloyd, Anna Laura, Lora Beatrice, Lettie May and Bertha Mabel.
