James Ruben Hillyard 
James Ruben was born on December 1st, 1851 in Scott Co., Mississippi.1 James Ruben's father was Thomas Hillyard and his mother was Christian Elizabeth Graham. His maternal grandparents were Reuben Calvin Graham and Nancy Roberts. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Milton Winfield, William Jackson, Sarah Elizabeth, Celia Delia, Unknown Twin, Nancy Keziah, Abbie and Addie Lee. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 64 on June 7th, 1916 in Rogers, Bell Co., Texas.
