His paternal grandfather was Peter Graham and his paternal grandmother is Nancy Rachel Tate. He had three brothers and nine sisters, named Silas Marion, Peter G., Elias S., Nancy, Lucinda, Cassia, Sarah, Tempia E., Elizabeth, Talitha Cumi, Deborha T. and Mary Frances. He was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 78 on March 20th, 1917 in Bentonville, Benton Co., Arkansas.1 General Notes
