Alva Graham 
Alva was born on January 8th, 1866 in Horry Co., South Carolina.1 Alva's father was Alphia Alford Graham and his mother was Helen Alice Johnson. His paternal grandfather was Joseph Graham and his paternal grandmother is Clare Unknown. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named Cornelius J., Lewis Thomas, Evander, Daniel, William, David Walker, Waterman, Covington, Helen Adaline, Florence, Laura Jane and Melia A.. He was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 57 on December 8th, 1923.1 General Notes
