Charles Francis was born in Edmonson Co., KY.1 Charles Francis' father was Elisha "Mel" Marion French and his mother was Jemima Frances Robinson. His paternal grandparents were Gabriel French and Elizabeth Ann Gatton; his maternal grandparents were William Robinson and Rose Ann Durbin. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Warren Augustine, Thomas, William, George, James, John, Nancy Belle, Anna and Emily. He died in Edmonson Co., KY. He was buried in Edmonson Co., KY St. John's Cemetery.1 -
