Elijah Dezarn 
Elijah was born about 1813 in Green County, Kentucky.1 Elijah's father was Edmond Dezarn and his mother is Mary Mandy Saltsman. His paternal grandfather was Frederick Desern and his paternal grandmother is Martha A Unknown; his maternal grandparents are William Saltsman and Susanna Morgan. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Elias S, John Sealey, Edmond, William, Patsy, Elizabeth Ann, Female Unknown and Mary. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Elijah A., Jeremiah, Ruth, Denawary, Nancy and Rebecca. He died after 1880 in Green County, Kentucky.1 General Notes

Elijah's death after 1880 is based on his still being listed in the 18
80 Green County, Kentucky census. His second wife, Elizabeth Shoemaker, m
ay have been married to a Skaggs at one time. Research
by Mayme Ellen Fisher Harris states that Elizabeth "Betsy" was connect
ed to the Skaggs family. As of July 2000, this cannot be proven.
