Elizabeth was reportedly related to the Skaggs family. She may have be
en married to a Skaggs before marrying a Shoemaker. None of this is confi
rmed.
There is a record of Elizabeth Shoemaker being married to Zachariah Elmor
e, 13 August 1816. They had 7 children, the last being born in 1834. Eliza
beth apparently then married Elijah Dezarn 25
February 1835.
