Ritta Elisabeth was born on November 18th, 1830 in Statesville, Iredell, NC.1 Ritta Elisabeth's father was Joseph Davidson and her mother was Emma Selina Hart. Her paternal grandparents were Alexander Davidson and Jane Henrietta Clayton. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Joseph Alston, Robert Quincy, Andrew Augustus, Thomas Melmoth Clayton, Sarah Amanda, Martha Elvira, Selina Emaline and Mary Jane. She was the third oldest of the nine children. She had two half-brothers named Milas Alexander and John. She died at the age of 63 on December 8th, 1893 in Statesville, Iredell, NC.1 General Notes
