Selina Emaline was born on October 22nd, 1843 in Statesville, Iredell, NC.1 Selina Emaline's father was Joseph Davidson and her mother was Emma Selina Hart. Her paternal grandparents were Alexander Davidson and Jane Henrietta Clayton. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Joseph Alston, Robert Quincy, Andrew Augustus, Thomas Melmoth Clayton, Ritta Elisabeth, Sarah Amanda, Martha Elvira and Mary Jane. She was the second youngest of the nine children. She had two half-brothers named Milas Alexander and John. She died at the age of 80 on February 4th, 1924.1 General Notes
