Joseph Oscar Davidson 
Joseph Oscar was born on May 12th, 1833 in Statesville, Iredell Co., North Carolina.1 Joseph Oscar's father was Milas Alexander Davidson and his mother was Dovey Robison. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Davidson and Sarah Nesbit. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William Clinton, Richard Steele, John Rice, Robert Quincy, George Spruce, Laura, Dovey Amanda and Baby Daughter. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 59 on September 5th, 1892 in Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa Co., Alabama.1 General Notes
