Hop Combs 
Hop was born on February 4th, 1902 in Knott Co., Kentucky.1 Hop's father was Shadrack Combs and his mother was Frances Godsey. His paternal grandfather is Matthew Combs and his paternal grandmother was Ann Ritchie; his maternal grandparents are Austin C. Godsey and Louisa Williams. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Robert, George, Virginia and Judy Belle. He was the youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 88 on January 13th, 1991.1 General Notes
