George Combs 
George was born on August 29th, 1893 in Knott Co., Kentucky.1 George's father was Shadrack Combs and his mother was Frances Godsey. His paternal grandfather is Matthew Combs and his paternal grandmother was Ann Ritchie; his maternal grandparents are Austin C. Godsey and Louisa Williams. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Robert, Hop, Virginia and Judy Belle. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 84 on October 28th, 1977.1 General Notes
