Moses S. Beard 
Moses S. was born on December 5th, 1834 in Decatur Co., Indiana.1 Moses S.'s father was Edward Beard and his mother was Elizabeth Snider. His maternal grandparents were Asa Barton Snider and Ann Uley. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Asa, Evan L., John Wesley, Josephus Sepus, Edward Francis, Calvin S., William D., Mahala, Mary Ellen and Martha Ellen. He died at the age of 28 on March 17th, 1863 in Decatur Co., Indiana. He was buried in Mt. Pisguh Cemetery, Jackson Township.1 1 General Notes
