William Macktrue Basham 
William Macktrue was born on March 9th, 1905 in Whalen, Kentucky.1 William Macktrue's father was McAtrue Miller (Mack) Basham and his mother was Nora Belle Short. His paternal grandparents were Richard B. Basham and Abigail Norton. He had four brothers and a sister, named Irvin Justice, James Samuel (Twin), Richard Louis (Twin), Harvey and Marvadeen (Margaret). He was the second youngest of the six children.
