Thomas Anderson Basham 
Thomas Anderson was born on November 9th, 1829 in Scioto Co., Ohio.1 Thomas Anderson's father was John Basham and his mother was Mary (Polly) Martin. His paternal grandparents were James Basham and Frances (Mary) Taylor. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Nathan, William, John, Augustus, James, George Washington, Sarah Ann, Rebecca, Maria and Lorinda. He was the third youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 75 on May 9th, 1905 in Horton, Brown Co., Kansas.1 General Notes

Thomas A. Basham died Tuesday morning at 7 o'clock, from a complica
ti on of paralysis and grip. Deceased was born in Ohio, Nov 9th, 1829 a
nd di ed May 9th, 1905, at the age 76 years and 6 months to the day. He h
ad be en a sufferer from paralysis for 16 years, and made his home with h
is so n, L. E. Basham, nearly all that time. He leaves four sons and one d
aughte r. L. E. and Mrs. Henry live in Horton, two sons live in Chickas
ha and o ne at Beatrice Nebraska. Funeral will be held from the ho
me of L. E. Bash am today, and remains interred in the Horton cemetery. Ne
