Raymond Arthur was born on January 31st, 1946 in Joliet, Will Co., Illinois.1 Raymond Arthur's father was Ishmael Basham and his mother was Edna Mudd. His paternal grandparents were William 'Francis' Bassham and Mary Ann Forbes. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Edward Dwane, Frankie Lee, Jerry, Ishmel John, Living, Living, Living and Living.
