Marvin Basham 
Marvin was born on November 24th, 1884 in Grayson Co., Kentucky.1 Marvin's father was John James Basham and his mother was Melora Katherine Whitworth. His paternal grandparents were George W. Basham and Barbara A (Polly) Crutchelow; his maternal grandparents were Allen Whitworth and Joanna Elizabeth Brubaker. He had six brothers and a sister, named Vannie Sylvanus, Carroll Mitchell (Carl), Bessie Allen, Eva J, John Melvin, Infant (Twin) and Ollie May. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 75 on April 25th, 1960 in Grayson Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
