John James Basham 
John James was born on December 28th, 1856 in Kentucky.1 John James' father was George W. Basham and his mother was Barbara A (Polly) Crutchelow. His paternal grandparents were James Herrod Basham and Polly Ann Arms. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Stephen Elijah, Sanford, William Logan, Amos D., Benjamin Webb, Thomas Ezra, George Huston, Parthenia, Millie Janey and Laura Ellen. He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 67 on December 24th, 1924 in Leitchfield, Grayson Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
