Lillie Mae was born about February 1884 in Mercer Co., West Virginia.1 Lillie Mae's father was Lewis Allen Basham and her mother was Mary Francis Shutt. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph A. Basham and Mary (Polly) A. Dillion. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Dossey J., Luther H., Edward D., Melvin, Stella D. and Belle B.. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Harlowe and Vera Exie. She died after 1900.1 General Notes
