James Raymond was born on August 13th, 1905 in Georgeville, Ray Co., Missouri.1 James Raymond's father was James Clayton Basham and his mother was Barbara Emaline Griffey. His paternal grandparents were Wiley Wessley Basham and Mary Lucinda Thomas. He had four brothers and a sister, named Clarence Russell, Floyd, George Dewey, William Robert and Mary L.. I was born east of Georgeville Mo within one half mile of Little Uni
on Ch urch, my first school was Rose Valley School about two or three mil
es on e ast and a little north of where I was born. Flossie was born in K
noxvil le Mo and afterward lived close to the Kincaid Cemetery, until marr
ie d. We were farmers for a number of years and then moved to Kansas Ci
ty f or about 5 years and then moved back close to Cowgill Mo and from t
he re to a farm south of Lawson Mo.
On a farm for a few years and then to Lawson, and from there to Cam
er on Mo for 8 years and worked for Skelly Oil Co and from there back to L
aws on and started to work for Excelsior Laundry. Worked for them 14 yea
rs a nd then retired. I am a past president of the Lions Club of Cameron M
o, Pa st Master of BeeHive Lodge 393 A.F. & A.M. of Lawson Mo. Have be
en a Mas on since 1943. I am a Past Commander and a Past High Priest of t
he Mason ic Lodge bodies at Excelsior Springs Mo.
Flossie is a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star Chapter of La
ws on Mo and a Past District Deputy Grand Matron of the Eastern Chapte
rs of M issouri. At present I am Executive Director and Secretary of the L
awson Ho using Authority of Lawson Mo.

Ella Louise was born on January 29th, 1921 in Polo, Caldwell Co., Missouri.1 She died at the age of 64 on July 19th, 1985.1
