Infant Son was born about 1917 in Clarksville, Johnson Co., Arkansas.1 Infant Son's father was John Mahlon Basham and his mother was Mamie Elizabeth Edwards. His paternal grandparents were James Oliver, Sr. Basham and Lemira Jane Shelton. He had five brothers named Edward, Oscar Edward, Infant Son, Infant Son and John David.
