Infant Son was born about 1913 in Clarksville, Johnson Co., Arkansas.1 Infant Son's father was John Mahlon Basham and his mother was Mamie Elizabeth Edwards. His paternal grandparents were James Oliver, Sr. Basham and Lemira Jane Shelton. He had five brothers named Edward, Oscar Edward, Infant Son, John David and Infant Son.
