Helena Carlton Basham 
Helena Carlton was born on June 17th, 1872 in Concordia, Meade Co., Kentucky.1 Helena Carlton's father was James Allen Basham and her mother was Mary Jane Popham. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Dowell Basham and Cassandra Hardin. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Carl Owen, Junius, Bettie, Ada Malverna, Cora Estelle and Katherine Claudine. She was the third oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 82 on September 4th, 1954 in Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan.1 General Notes
