George Washington Basham 
George Washington was born about April 1879 in Kentucky.1 George Washington's father was James Harrod Basham and his mother was Elizabeth (Polly) Ann Phelps. His paternal grandparents were Benajah Anderson Basham and Nancy E. Turner. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John J., Bermia (Burnie), Benaga, Mary Jane, Jeanette and Allie May. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died on May 29th, 1950 in Warren Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
