Francis E was born on July 3rd, 1850 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.1 Francis E's father was Manoah Stone Basham and his mother was Elizabeth Armes. His paternal grandparents were Littleberry Basham and Mary (Polly) Basham. He had six brothers and eight sisters, named William Berry, Barbary Barr (Twin), Haskel Abbott (Abirt), Manoah Washington, Henry Thomas (Rev), James Clinton, Emeline, Mary Jane, Nancy Farmer, Lucy C., Armilda, Sallie Ann (Sarah) (Twin, Elizabeth and Louisa F.. He was the sixth oldest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 28 on August 8th, 1878.1 General Notes
